Winter & Summer Challange's

Challenges are not Championships; they are just for fun, see how you can perform against your class rivals.

All drivers and co-drivers participating in NESCRO "competitive" events will automatically be entered.
Points will be based on the "Index of Performance" model so that any car has an equal chance of giving it's crew success. The more competiton there is in a class, however, the more points will be awarded as the value of class positions is enhanced 

Points scored are as a result of a calculation based on the "Number of competitors beaten in the class expressed as a percentage plus 5 points for starting and plus 5 points for finishing".

Examples -

5 in class and finish first = 90 points
5 in class and finish 2nd = 70 points
5 in class and finish 3rd = 50 points
5 in class and finish 4th = 30 points
5 in class and finish 5th = 10 points.

If there had been 7 in the class first would have achieved 95.7points.

The formula for deciding how many rounds were to count was actually "half the number of rounds + 1".

So. with 8 rounds this was 4+1=5
With 7 rounds it's 3.5+1=4.5! Which I will round up to 5 rounds to count.

 
The challenges will be administered by Martin Randle of Club Triumph who will use the official results from each event.

2011 Calender

Events marked (W) will be included in the Winter Challenge 2011 5 out of 7 to score points
Events marked (S) will be included in the Summer Challenge 2011 7 out of 10 to score points
